Our story

3 friends and the desire to give it a try

It all began on May 11th, 2016, when Pigna, Richi and Yannick decided to take on a new challenge: bringing an authentic piece of Ticinese tradition back to life.
An adventure that started under the best auspices thanks to the valuable help of Rasi, the historic chef of the previous management, who guided the first steps of this new chapter.

Ten years later, the soul of the grotto remains vibrant and full of passion.
Today, alongside Yannick, two new friends, Patricia and William, continue the story of this magical place with dedication and a warm smile.

In a calm and welcoming atmosphere, we invite you to rediscover the true flavors of our region.
Our cuisine celebrates tradition with carefully selected ingredients and time-honored recipes:

  • Our famous grilled pork ribs, the house signature dish

  • Homemade pasta and gnocchi, prepared with love as in the old days

  • Polenta and ossobuco, the classic of our valleys

  • …and many other seasonal specialties
